  1. I love it. I have been searching for an app like this. I’m willing to offer my suggestions to help improve the app. I noticed that the zip code spot is missing. A video tutorial would be nice for new users. Also maybe I couldnt find it in the app, but a daily equipment log and job notes would be awesome. I’d like to add our own company logo to the exported log. Also a .csv export would allow users to customize reports even more.

    • Hi Jorel,

We would love to hear your feedback as there is always room for new and better features.

Regarding the zip code / postal code spot. I have noted this and we will add this field on the next release.

We are looking into being able to add company logo’s into the reports. The reports are in an HTML format , which can be forwarded to your own email on the computer, then copy and past the report into a text document for final corrections, changes and customizations. There are some limiting factors in exporting the reports in a .csv file, especially when the pictures are involved, in the programing / coding of the app.

Regarding an equipment log. We actuallly are currently developing an app that is specific to tracking equipment so that a report can be produced for the estimator or for billing purposes to the client and insurance company, as well as to help the company track locations of the equipment to help prevent equipment being lost.
We will look into a job notes area idea as well for the next release.
How to videos are in the works also for the website. These videos will have some ideas on customizing and editing the reports.
Thank you again Jorel for your feedback. We look forward to any more ideas you would like to share or things that would help you out as the end
      user.
      Sincerely,
      Ben Duckworth

Which version are you using? Android or iPhone?

  2. How do I get Version 2 Android. Is there a training video for the field techs. Lite version VS Full Version. I can point about 1000 restoration companys to this app if it works.

    • Hi Bill, we are working on Version 2 of both Android and iPhone Apps right now. We are adding some very cool features to make the app more user friendly. The how-to videos are in production and will be out around the middle of December along with Version 2 of the App. The main difference between the Lite vs the Paid is that in the Lite Version you can not export the reports and you can only have four drying jobs in the App Log at one time. With the Full version you are able to export a an HTML Report that will also include the pictures that are in the drying job log.

In Version 2 we are making it so the user only has to enter the Rooms / Areas once along with the dry standard for the Room / Area. Then on subsequent dry checks, this info is already in the dry check and the user only needs to enter the new temperature, humidity and moisture readings. There are some new fields that will be in the app as well for Claim Number, Zip Code for the Address Information and a Notes field for each Room / Area.

  3. Hi Ben,

As an industry consultant I would love to talk to you about your ap. I have clients that may be able to maximize the opportunity you provide with this software.

    Please call me.

    Brian

  4. Hi there. I wondered what system software you have on your iPhone? We have really had no trouble this point and iPhone is a stable system. This is very unusual.

Make sure that your phone software and iTunes software are both up to date.

After you try this, then take the app of your phone and out of your iTunes. Then re-install. If it still won’t work, I will send you a how to on how to retreive the error logs for your phone and we can get you to send those to us.

    Thanks for your time!

  5. This app is fantastic. I would like to also recommend a notes field so my techs can basically do a daily site report right in this one app. Great works guys, this app is what we needed!

    • Hi Todd,

Make sure you have the latest update of the app. It does have a Notes Field in each Dry Log / Dry Check.
That being said, we will look at the idea of incorporating the daily site report idea as an area of the job information in the app. That is a great idea.
Keep the ideas coming so that we can better serve our clients.
It is super helpful for us to get positive ratings in that app store. If you would do that for us it helps us get found by others, increase our user base so that we can continue to update the project.
You can email me direct at ben@waterdamagedryinglog.com anytime as well.

Thank you so much for your encouraging feedback. I know the app is not perfect and it is difficult to make an app that is everything to everyone, but we will get there as long as the project is viable.

      Thanks again for your time,
      Ben Duckworth
